Rose x Alexei- first tears

Finally, my second part of the art trade with is done! The background made me do some extra work since I redid it like 3 times XD

So, here we continue the story of Alexei and Rose from where we left of. Alexei was taken away from the farm he was guarding, suspected for a crime he didn't commit. When the police came he didn't refuse being captured, but calmly accepted the consequences of his actions despite the fact that he didn't kill the other dog. Alexei was taken over to the facility of animal control, in a special area where troublesome and aggressive dogs were taken. He was caged up and they kept him in chains fearing he might attack any moment. In fact Alexei just wanted to curl up and forget everything... all though he had avenged for his parents, he didn't feel proud or very good about it. He sat on the floor looking sadly the dusty corner of his small cage with a glassy look in his eyes. He realized he was bleeding from several parts of his body, and started to feel the pain that he had completely ignored while battling fiercely for his life. He had deep cuts on his forehead and right side of his chest. As time passed, those cuts started to fade from red to white. All though he was now back in shape, those scars would always be there. He had not seen Rose for two whole years, or any of his few friends. Alexei often thought about her, hoping she was ok. One day, he was completely taken by surprise when he woke up to meet her brilliant amber eyes right before his. Alexei quickly stood up ending up being jerked back forcefully by his chains. "Hey, it's just me. Rose!"Rose said gently. For a moment Alexei could only stand there in silence, not believing that she was actually there. He noticed that she had gotten even more beautiful since last time.. he couldn't help the urge to hug her, but was unable to make another move because of his chains and the metal bars that were separating the two. "What... what are you doing here?" Alexei managed to ask with a hoarse voice. He tried his very best not to cry from happiness. Rose seemed to be holding back some feelings as well. She smiled a bit, saying "I came to see you silly. It's been two years.." Alexei blinked rapidly to fight back his tears and laughed a bit. "I.. don't know what to say. I'm just so happy to see you!" "I'm sorry I didn't come for you earlier..I tried many times but they wouldn't let me. They said you were too dangerous," Rose said with truly sad voice, avoiding eye contact with Alexei. Those words made Alexei's heart skip a beat. She had not.. forgotten about him..? She had wanted to see him even after what he did, after all those years of keeping away from her because he had to protect the farm all the time..? Alexei was very touched by this. Then he realized something. He had to let Rose know... the thought of it made him sadder than anything had made him ever since the death of his parents. He collected all the courage he had and said," Rose? You know what I did and why I am here.." "But you didn't do anything wrong, it was..."Rose started but Alexei continued, "Please Rose, let me finish. You are right, I didn't commit the crime I'm here for, but they don't know it. And they don't care. The evidence against me is overwhelming. Point is, they are not going to set me free.. it's already decided. I'm considered one of the most dangerous dogs here, and you do realize what happens to us? They get rid of us." Rose stared at Alexei. "What.. does that mean?" Rose asked carefully, already knowing what he was going to say. "I'm sentenced to death."

And everyone who saw the very first picture of Rose as an adult and read the description of her character, know she has never cried. This is how I came up with the title... her first tears.
